Avalore Dump #14
"It's so over (again)" Edition
Another day another dollar (down)! I would classify AVAX CT vibes as “not great” currently, but that makes for some nice drama. Price goes down and we don’t have much to do but attack each other on the timeline. Good for business! My smutty business, anyway. Let’s get to the news.
Pointsmarket is so Over (part 1)
The main drama this week, as usual for the past month, has centered around Pointsmarket. A bunch of people had issues with the way Nobs was running things and decided to take to the timeline to discuss how they could do it better. Nobs got frustrated reading all this and decided to shut the site down. It was also timed with some site updates so it’s unclear if it was mostly down for maintenance or if he actually ragequit.
One of the main critics was this guy Kieron. He wrote some longer posts on the subject but you get the gist of his complaints from the above screenshot. Since he has his product name in his twitter handle, I decided to try it out! Brief constructive criticism side quest!
I don’t want to completely rip the guy since he seems nice and is actually building something (more than I can say for myself!) but maybe let’s focus on making these liquidation prices and fees more reasonable? You can open up a 60x long on GMX right now and get the same liquidation price as a 20x long on Tradesta.
Gamble responsibly, readers!
Anyway, a bunch of other people came out of the woodwork to dance on the Pointsmarket grave (more on them later), but most people were sad to see it go. Taking it offline seemed like an overreaction as the Kieron comments were really not that bad and they were an attempt at constructive criticism. Thankfully, the next day it was back online!
We’re so back! Or are we….
Pointsmarket is so Over (no 🧢, frfr)
After a great 14 hours of “it’s so back,” we ran into the inevitable “it’s so over.” This time the site has remained down, and appears to be gone for good.
It seems like this was a two pronged attack. On one hand, Nobs’ vibecoding finally met its match with the Twitter API and a bug was introduced where people could log in as different users. This caused some people to spam downvotes from other accounts, sending the system into chaos.
At the same time, Wojak (founder of $COQ, originator of the Kim Nobs Un memes) decided to lay into Nobs for apparently no reason. While Kieron’s comments before showed respect for trying to build something, Wojak comes across as purely spiteful.
I don’t want to paint the COQ community with too broad a brush as there are plenty of COQ enjoyers that I get along with just fine (shout out Quine and Gribbly), but there has always been a section of bok bok’ers that are opposed to anything that’s not Chikn related.
I strongly believe that culture comes from the top, so I guess this all makes sense now! The coqbook account also got in on the fun. It’s run by this guy eRob who’s most known for replying to himself on alt accounts:
That’s all I’ve got for this week! It was really dominated by Pointsmarket stuff and not much has happened since then. It feels like there’s a void now and it will be interesting to see what comes in to fill it. Maybe the launch of Blaze can kickstart things? Or will we really have an NFT szn?
Tune in next week to find out!

Love the drama😅
