We have one month of AVAX lore officially in the books! If you’re still reading these, thank you and I’m sorry your life has come to this.
I’m going to try and keep the filler episodes to a minimum moving forward as they’re less fun to read/write. We will cover whatever news exists (if you can call this stuff news). Don’t make me list out 50 more things I love about AVAX. I’ll fookin do it again, I swear. But not today!
Mindo AVAX Campaign Ends
Hooray! Words cannot describe how much I hate this InfoFi stuff, and honestly I think it’s to blame for the lack of content last week. My feed just devolved into everyone mindlessly shilling AVAX partnerships and usage statistics. I understand why the higher ups might like this, but as a community member it made my eyes glaze over after 3 minutes of scrolling my timeline. Definitely had to mute some new people recently—sorry if you were a casualty.
As I mentioned in an earlier article, paying people to post is a surefire way to get posts that are not interesting at all. If I wanted to see posts like that, I’d be in The Arena. Zinger! I would certainly never post any of this mindless drivel.
Also the leaderboards are always insane with basically no rhyme or reason. Sometimes they form cliques where interacting with other people on the leaderboard gets you more points, sometimes they pull strictly from interactions and don’t account for bots—it never seems to work well. When there’s real money on the line, people will put in effort to game the system. Remember when all the Doggerino PFPs were spamming comments on NFL posts to pump their numbers on Inspect?
Regardless, I look forward to a return to normalcy (I hope) and interesting content on the timeline again. I don’t mind a BS post every now and then, but people were churning out 5-10 posts a day all spouting about partnerships and dex volume and blah blah blah. Mindshare!
Koroshi CTO?
I think Piweb means well so I won’t completely dunk on him here, but the idea of crowdfunding $100/month to run an NFT project is hilarious to me. I guess there are many French who still believe in Koroshi? As I said, I was never involved with this one as I didn’t have much trust in the founder. Good luck to Piweb!
What I will say is that founders generally don’t abandon good projects. If it had any promise, the founder would still be here trying to milk it dry. If you’re offering to take over a project that doesn’t have any funding, you’d better have a really good plan. I strongly advise any readers NOT to take over any projects in the future. Start your own! Be a true founder and scam people for mint funds!
AvAx OgS aRe ToO hOsTiLe
This type of complaint seems to come up every few months, so this will probably not be the last time I write about it. Fortunately, it’s always made by someone who’s off the chain shortly after!
I can count on one FINGER the number of projects that have been onboarded and actually contributed to the AVAX ecosystem in a meaningful way (shout-out Cozyverse). We have a habit of bringing people from other chains to try and recreate something that was working well elsewhere. It’s inevitably poorly executed and the team is nowhere to be found after a year and a half. See: Dokyo, Hyperspace, Looty, Inspect, Conscious Lines, etc etc.
People who actually want to build on AVAX don’t need an incentive to do so. The teams that come over with some form of support are more mercenary and tend to take the benefits and run. We’ve seen this over and over again, so yes as Voh says we have PTSD and start out skeptical.
I don’t want to rag on this predictions platform thing too much since I don’t know anything about it, but this is an example of something I’d be skeptical of. The account and the founder’s account both have some insane botting going on. It reminds me of when Levr Bet was going to be on AVAX for about 5 seconds before leaving to greener pastures.
All that being said, Polymarket and PredictIt are some of my most used apps and I’d love a predictions market on AVAX. This is a case where we can be skeptical but NOT hostile. I hope this thing does really well and people use it instead of Polymarket/Kalshi. If it goes live during NFL season I will be using it heavily. DM me and get me into the seed round! I’ll say nice things!

Yeah this gets its own section. It will probably be $40 by the time this thing goes out. AVAX Summit on our yachts in the Maldives is gonna be sick next year.
